I need help on to convert the downloaded themes zip file, and apply it to my desktop.how to do it?

i download themes online and it comes with zip file.i dunno how to apply it on my desktop.i try to extract it,but the files are not detected in the properties when u want to change the themes. help me!I need help on to convert the downloaded themes zip file, and apply it to my desktop.how to do it?
